And like those 2 games you start off with next to nothing. Most people cant get over the learning curve or the first few hours of gameplay Reminds me of people complaining about Fallout 3) This game has more of a Skyrim New Vegas feel to it in that you pretty much start off with a small learning section before being released into the game world. It is still one of the best looking single player space games I have in my library of games. It is still one of the best looking single player space games I have in my library of If love space based games this is right up your ally. If love space based games this is right up your ally. Give it a shot on steam happens to be on often quite regularly with x3 terran conflict. Take your time and take it easy and be ready to be absorbed by this game. The game doesnt rush and you dont need to know everything in order to enjoy it. See it as a book that slowly unfolds towards you. It has a steep learning curve but is really worth it. Want to explore? go ahead there are new sectors new mechanics In phew words: is just an amazing game. Want to exploit the market? make a trading empire and with the use of the stock market you can make money quiet easier than X3TC, which for some is a bad thing but is a relief for others. Want to trade? start small and grow bigger. You can help the war effort too and make a difference over control of war sectors. You want to fight? you have complete control over your ship=rolling, strafing all directions, moving in a real 3D environment. With Bonus pack addition(addons for game that have been certified by Egosoft so your game is NOT modified aka you can do achievements) gives all that you might need to make your life a bit easier. You can do everything, manage everything. Honestly this is what is best out there at this time. There are corporation missions too and the plot missions are very enjoyable. With 3.0 update there are a lot more of generic missions. There are a lot of bug fixes and the new politic economic changes add spice to the game. In this expansion the interface is made clearer and more user friendly. There X3 Albion Prelude have more than X3 Terran conflict to offer. it takes 333k points to reach maximum (level 10) reputation with a race.X3 Albion Prelude have more than X3 Terran conflict to offer. Its possible that selling stuff to the Borons via factories and complexes work differently and you can improve rep with them that way, but in the end, 10 rep is a very small tick (only really noticeable when you rep with them is very close to 0). I used the Borons for my testing since I just happened to be in their space at that time. When you pull that menu up, you'll be able to see exactly how much notoriety you have with a certain race. To see exactly how much reputation you have with a race, you can download the Universal best buy/sells mod. I set my reputation higher (to queen's guard) and then spent 75 million buying an orca but my rep didn't change at all. I stopped gaining reputation once I reached 'friend' status with the Borons. The reputation gain is 10 points each time, no matter how much was the transaction. Buying 1000 energy cells didn't uptick my reputation at all but buying 10000 did. There seems to be a threshold value before you gain the rep. Here's what I've found out based on testing: Just keep in mind those factories I listed are illegal in most sectors. This is why I like to spread space weed and space fuel complexes around the galaxy as they always sell out and are great ways to keep my rep topped off with various factions (even pirates!). If you own a station and a member of that race buys from your station, you'll also get a rep bonus. However, I'm not sure if buying/selling shares at a stock exchange does the same thing as I haven't done it much. This is more noticeable at low levels as it doesn't take much to bump your reputation at that point. It doesn't matter what you are buying or selling (ships, wares, equipment, etc), you will gain a small uptick. There are only 2 ways to gain reputation with a faction through trading:īuy or sell at a station belonging to that faction.

I do not expect the game to last much longer, even with Backyard Monsters Unleashed coming out in the near future. The only thing that hasn’t shown up is Base 0 and/or OOPS. The Leaderboards are full of hackers using instant takeovers, The Titans (a Super-Alliance) and most other big alliances use hacks to move ever upward on the Alliance Leaderboard, and bugs continue to ruin the game. Not long after, the game was shut down on Kongregate.Īlas, we appear to be nearing the end. It didn’t take long before this Moderator’s post to be removed as well. Not only were they ripping apart friends and an entire community, but the amount of shiny given in “compensation” was insulting. They didn’t bother to post on Kongregate (Possibly only Kixeye’s third visit) until a few days later. Then one day, a Moderator created a post that stated that Kongregate was to be shut down and that players would receive 500 shiny as compensation. There was no new content, hackers and scripters abound, and no Customer Support to speak of. A while back, the game known as Backyard Monsters was playable on this website called Kongregate. If this doesn’t sound familiar by now, allow me to explain. They have cleaned up all traces off this comment. Understandably frustrated, I began to answer the questions on the forums about various glitches and such with answers that can be summed up as “Kixeye officially halted development, Customer Support is name they assigned to their sentient overlord computer that feeds on sadness, and this bug/hacker will not be stopped.” Today I woke up to find that not only were all of my posts deleted, but that the original post by a Moderator is gone as well. They cited Backyard Monsters Unleashed (their upcoming mobile version of the game) as the reason for development being cut. In fact, the only staff working on Backyard Monsters are those in Customer Support (until the robots rise up, that is). I came across this post while browsing the Community Support forum and laughing at all the pathetic nubs shouting “HAX! BRINGS OUT TEH BANHAMMER!” A seemingly frustrated Moderator let it slip that there would be no bug or glitch fixes and that development had ceased completely. After many months devoid of any noteworthy updates, Kixeye has, according to a Moderator’s post, decided to cease the development of Backyard Monsters. There is a similar quest in San d'Oria called Starting a Flame (although there is no wait there). The main difficulty with this quest is you have to wait 15 real life minutes before repeating. They are even cheap at the Auction House. This quest requires an easy to get item that many people throw away, Flint Stones. This quest must be completed 16 times to advance from 0 to 2 Fame. It is not suggested that you use Wild Onions in this quest, as they can cost a pretty penny at the Auction House. You must zone between each trade, making this quest a pain to repeat. This quest is useful if you have these items just lying around the mog house taking up space. Wild Onions, Treant Bulbs, and Sleepshrooms can be turned in for reputation. Since the new high level mobs have been added in Zeruhn Mines farming Zeruhn Soot by any job under 90 is no longer practical. This quest can be repeated without changing areas between. The soot can also be purchased through the auction house, though it is rather pricey for such a low level item. The biggest problem is that Zeruhn is not a very big zone, so there aren't many monsters around to drop it. Zeruhn Soot is difficult to get at times, even with Treasure Hunter. This requires that you turn in Zeruhn Soot obtained in Zeruhn Mines. Because of this, it is the best quest to complete for Bastok and San d'Oria. Highly Recommended: Only the Best is a repeatable Selbina quest that will simultaneously raise reputation for Bastok, San d'Oria and Jeuno. Refer to the quest page for additional information and testimonials.Cornette, Four-Leaf Mandragora Bud, Snobby Letter, Three-Leaf Mandragora Bud, and Yuhtunga Sulfur are the items that he wants. All items can be acquired from mandies all over the world. He wants any and all Mandragora-related items. Yoran-Oran seems to have a thing for mandies. This quest and Only the Best cover all of the Middle Lands, the game's original areas found on the Conquest map. Each item rewards a different amount and raises a certain amount of Reputation.įor a complete walkthrough, trade breakdown, and cost analysis, refer to the quest page. It requires La Theine Cabbage, Boyahda Moss or Millioncorn. Bastok, San d'Oria, Jeuno, Selbina, Rabao. This quest does not affect all areas, but it does affect a number of them: Note that you cannot start another A Discerning Eye quest until you have finished the one you are on, success or failure. If you don't pass customs when you get off the ship you can just restart the quest (when not in Jeuno) and either hop back on the ship you got off, or if you don't make it the next one. You actually make money on this quest, as the cost for the airship is 200 gil and you are rewarded 500 gil upon completion. You can also just ride the Airships all day repeating this quest. It is a good quest to do if you are frequently riding the airship to Jeuno. The package is a Key Item, so you can do this quest even when your inventory is full. It involves identifying a NPC that "dropped a package" and giving it to them. This is a repeatable quest that is started from any starting city plus Kazham on the airship trip to Jeuno. NOTE: Insure to complete the Records of Eminence quests that pertain to Fame under the Achievements tab, in the Objective List. Please click the link to the quest for details. They are meant to give you an overview of the quest. NOTE: The descriptions here are not complete walkthroughs. The ones listed are quick and easy quests.Īlso, note that your reputation in Jeuno is raised by gaining reputation in other nations - If you raise your Bastok reputation to level 9, you may find your Jeuno reputation is around level 4 when you arrive in the city. Not all repeatable quests for an area are listed, as some items are more of a pain to obtain than others. If you need Reputation for a quest and need it quick, there are some easy, repeatable quests you can do to get your reputation up. Anomaly Warzone Earth Mobile Campaign continues Steam's Anomaly Warzone Earth in an extra 15-level campaign. The player has direct control only over the squad leader who takes direct part in battles. The second half of the success is to ensure completion of the objectives. The player's combat machines have to be accurately guided through unfriendly areas and kept in one piece. The player has access to six combat machines, the properties of which have o be used correctly on the battlefields. In Anomaly: Warzone Earth for PC, X360 and PS3, the actual gameplay focuses on controlling the squad whose members are first chosen by the player. Through completing subsequent missions, the player discovers bits of information about origins of the anomalies and intentions of the machines. The player is put in the shoes of a squad leader whose members were sent to Baghdad to find out about the anomaly that occurred there. Thus it is not an optimistic alternative to the future. In the ROM, one can find the string "Bungee Jump". To the right of that, the game keeps track of how many times each special block has appeared, in the order of Plus, Minus, Speed, Slow, Warp, and Event. The next four rows show each player with how many coins they won in games, how many coins they acquired in total and what spaces they stepped on and how often (in the order of happening, red, blue, 1-player, Chance Time, mushroom, and Bowser).īelow that, the game keeps track of how many Mini-Games of each type were played so far (1-player, 4-player, 1-vs-3 and 2-vs-2) and how many stars were acquired. At the bottom of the room, there are four different moving blocks with three different values written on them. At the top right corner of the room, there is a tall tower you can climb up via the slope in front of the tower, however it isn't hollow, so you fall right through it once you get to the top. At the top of the steps and slope there is a bright blue rectangle sitting at the top that you cannot jump onto. Further to the left, connected to the slope, is a connected flight of steps. In the center of the room there is a large sunflower in the middle (from Coin Shower Flower), a slope where you can slide down, and a spinning thing that hurts everyone. This also ruins any dream of just being a pirate. I started automatically resolving any battle where I was likely to win pretty quickly, reserving the turn based combat for the rare fights that required my attention because I was at a disadvantage. It has some decent ideas like manoeuvring to fire from both sides of a ship, but after a while it becomes clear that it lacks depth and is disproportionately affected by consumable skills rewarded for completing tasks for towns. Unfortunately, the turn based combat falls into this category as well. There’s also only so many times you can plot a trade route before the clunky menu and controls make what was a finicky, but rewarding process early on into a bit of a chore, especially with the more expansive routes. You earn these from being successful at town management and completing tasks, but you earn them at a slow rate compared to the need to spend them on working through building chains and captains to give your trading empire a boost. It’s also around this time that repetition sets in. There’s only so many times you can improve a town into a bustling trade centre before you realise you’ve already done this, especially with the obtuse Fame points system. It works well, but can become a bit of a juggling act later in the game when you’re managing multiple cities at a time, and all your trade routes, and likely defending them from pirates and hostile nations as well. Managing each town is more than just catering to your business needs. You’ll need to keep the people fed, healthy, and happy, partly by trading the resources they need, but mostly by placing hospitals to reduce the risk of plague, markets to distribute food, and trying to keep noisy factories out of sight. From there you can start constructing the relevant buildings in towns to start producing resources – after all, you then don’t have to buy it, so there’s more profit! – and eventually become governor of those settlements as well. Obviously you can fully manage your own hometown as the governor, but you can also manage your nation’s other settlements once you’ve got approval to set up a business and then built them up to be large enough. Managing towns is another aspect to consider. At that point you’ll be able to plan more expensive, but even more profitable trade routes to these more distant areas. This is very welcome as choosing specific amounts for everything would likely double what is already quite a lengthy process in a game full of menus.Īs money starts rolling in, you can start to expand your fleet by purchasing or building newer, bigger ships and sending them to discover other nations’ towns. The same goes for your purchase instructions, where you can set specifics about how much to purchase, or you can just select which items you want to buy and sell in each town and leave the game to decide the amounts automatically based on supply and demand. Most of the time you can just use waypoints to move it away from the red areas on the map where storms are likely and you’ll be fine, but the option to really optimise them is there if you want it. The route planning aspect can be used to cut out unnecessary time wastage on your trade routes and really maximise profit. There are a few things to consider when you’re at sea: sailing against the wind makes your ship slower, while sailing through storm-prone areas can damage your ships, not to mention avoiding any areas that happen to be populated by pirates or hostile nations. You’ll also need to plan each trade route’s, well, route. This allows you to focus elsewhere whilst your ships rake in doubloons, or whatever. Once you’ve made a trade route, by way of a lengthy process of picking all the towns on the route and setting out instructions for buying and selling in each one separately, ships you assign to it will run it automatically. You’ll probably begin by managing this manually, personally ordering your ship between towns and buying and selling things yourself, but you’ll soon get an extra ship or two and be able to set up a trade route.
